I am here to work together with clients in order to help them become the best version of themselves. To live life fully it is not sufficient to just navigate through it, but to live it with joy and happiness. My goal is to assist my clients in coping with their mental/behavioral illness and life stressors.

I believe that every individual is a piece of a greater puzzle. I use family systems therapy, cognitive behavioral, and solution focused therapy as a guide to help my clients achieve their goals. I specialize in partnering with individuals, couples, and families ages 9 and older to improve not only themselves, but their relationships with others.

Xotchilt Blanco is a psychology master's graduate from Florida International University. She states: "My experience in working with children, teens, and adults has allowed me the opportunities to understand the necessity of taking care of our mental health. Through my work, I aim to create awareness, while also educating individuals on the importance of taking care of their mental health at every stage in their lives. My approach in working with an individual includes listening, thinking together, coaching, sharing ideas, and seeking feedback. In addition, some of the more critical skills that have enabled me to provide effective therapy involve both empathetic understanding of the person and gaining their trust to work as a team.

I am a therapist who believes in using a holistic approach when working with individuals. I am passionate about helping individuals maximize their potential, and to help facilitate a deeper understanding of themselves.

My goal is to guide individuals into finding balance in their mental health, and to ultimately increase their overall wellness and wellbeing. My belief is that many of us struggle with daily challenges that, if left unmanaged, can result in an imbalance of our mental health, leading to experiences with depression, anxiety, and stress."

She states: "I’ve dealt with clients who are experiencing a severe mental illness all the way down to clients who just want someone to talk to. I started my career working with individuals who suffered from distinct diagnosis such as schizophrenia, bipolar, depression and PTSD, some combined. I’ve also worked with individuals who suffer from substance abuse. My most recent service involved individuals who have been victims of domestic violence and/or sexual abuse.

Many individuals just need a positive support system, someone they can trust and/or someone that can listen to them. Whether is someone who has a mental illness or someone who just needs an ear to listen, I have been that person to a wide range of individuals. The one that listens without judgment and empathizes with everyone who steps into my office.

Life stressors are inevitable, one must not only accept the reality but also learn to live with it. My role as a therapist is to provide my clients a listening ear without judgment, introduce them to positive coping skills, empathize with them and encourage the individual to see things from multiple perspectives."
